First humira jab Options

Hello everyone, I had my first humira jab on Tuesday and while I'm really pleased that so far I've not had any bad reaction to it, I was just wondering how long it took for anyone else on humira to notice a difference? Am I hoping for too much to want to notice an improvement already? Thanks....... Allison x

Hi Alison,

No I don't think you are hoping for too much because some people do notice an improvement quite quickly.
It took 8 weeks with me (sorry!). I had a huge flare at 6 weeks which apparently is quite common when starting a new drug, then when everything settled down again I began to notice the swelling going from my hands and I could almost make a fist, I was also less tired.
I suppose 8 weeks is not bad when you consider that is only 4 doses.
Hope yours kicks in sooner though.
